ClueTrace is a second generation escape game. We have computer controlled clues and puzzles and our games were designed to be fun and engaging. Enjoy the experience with your team while finding clues, solving puzzles and riddles in a fun and safe environment.
Can I organise a surprise birthday party or other celebration?
Yes! ClueTrace is the perfect alternative for special occasions. We can help you organise a celebration to remember!
Can I organise a corporate event?
Of course! We can organise special events for your team during the day or evening. Contact us with your requirements.
How many games do you have?
We have two MINDCRIME ROOMS with the same mission and one MISSION CRITICAL ROOM. Three teams can play at the same time in our rooms, so a maximum of 18 players. Further details on future games will be on our website.
How many people can play at a time?
ClueTrace’s MINDCRIME ROOMS are designed for teams of 3-6 players. However teams of 2 have also managed to solve the mystery and had great fun, but escaping in 60 minutes has proven rather challenging for them. If you are experienced in solving clues and puzzles you may try it as a team of 2 and we will do our best to make your experience as fun as possible.
Is there an age limit to play the game?
ClueTrace is great fun for all ages, although due to the complexity of the game children under the age of 9 might find it confusing. Children and teenagers from 9-18 can play with adult supervision. There are no challenging physical components to the game and no fear elements.
How much does this experience cost?
ClueTrace ticket prices start from £18 per person. To find out more about the prices please refer to our booking section.
Please note that ClueTrace is a live event, therefore, once the booking is confirmed, refunds and cancellations are not possible. Rescheduling is possible 48+ hours in advance of your booking time. To reschedule send an e-mail to email@example.com
Accessibility & Special Requirements
Although we aim to make ClueTrace accessible to all, due to the nature of the game there may be some accessibility limitations.
During the game we play background music and also use sound effects, and our missions cannot be solved without hearing the audio or using one’s vision. Whilst all our escape rooms have been designed with wheelchair users in mind, there are stairs (3 steps) in the building which will make wheelchair access difficult. Unfortunately at the moment we do not have a lift. Should you have any special requirements please contact us before making your booking. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and make your experience as enjoyable as possible.
I am pregnant, can I play?
Yes. There are no physical challenges or frightening factors involved while playing the game and there is somewhere to sit down in the room. The game room can be left at any time. Whilst everyone plays at their own risk, there is no cause for concern.
I am claustrophobic, can I play?
Yes. Our game rooms are a good size and you can leave the room at any time. There are no elements to the game which would induce panic or anxiety. Of course, degrees of claustrophobia vary from person to person. If you are concerned, call us before you make your booking.
ON THE DAY
What time should we arrive on the day?
You should arrive at least 5 minutes before your game is scheduled. You will need a few minutes before your session for a briefing and introduction.
Should you be running late, please let us know by phoning us.
What if I am late?
Just like a cinema or theatre, ClueTrace is a live event and our games run on a tight schedule. We ask that you arrive at least 5 minutes before your game is due to start.
If you are over 10 minutes late, your game time may be decreased depending on availability. If you arrive 15 minutes after your game is due to start, unfortunately we won’t be able to start your game as it would delay all the other players for the rest of the day and that wouldn’t be fair on them.
What is the address?
You can find ClueTrace at 73-75 Shacklewell Lane, London, E8 2EB.
We are a short walk (8 minutes) from Dalston Kingsland station and 13 minutes walk from Hackney Downs station. Hackney Downs station is 7 minutes by Overground from Liverpool Street station. Nearby bus routes include: 488, 236, 149, 76, 242 and 67.
